The meeting on 29th July 2020 is on the topic Visual Studio Code.
An overview of Microsoft's increasingly popular Open Source code editor
There are many heavyweight programmer's editors available for Linux. Visual Studio Code is a relative newcomer but has gained rapid acceptance. It is open source and readily available for all common Linux variants. It's plugin architecture and huge library of third party extensions means it can be used for pretty much any programming task. Nick will give an overview and show some of the extensions he finds useful for web development work.
Meetings start at 7:00pm and will usually finish between 9:00pm and 10:00pm depending on the topic. All welcome! Refreshments provided! PLUG meetings are normally held at Trosnant, Park Lane, Llandrindod. A location map is available to download.
